Apple released iOS 7.1 (build 11D167), as expected the most significant update for iOS is here, featuring tweaks to the user interface introduced in iOS 7, bug fixes, and new features such as support for the new CarPlay. The update is said to improve Touch ID fingerprint recognition for iPhone 5s users and improvements in performance for iPhone 4 users. The latest software version is compatible with iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and iPod touch (5th generation) devices.

Users of iOS 7 and older versions can upgrade compatible devices over-the-air by navigating to "Software Update" in the "General" section of the device's settings Or, users can download the software bundle (.IPSW) files from Apple's website for offline installations.
